ABOUT THE COMPANY
Black Dove Media Arts has been producing stylish, eye-catching, high quality video services for film and television since 2008 using cutting edge software, professional equipment, and expertly trained talent. From the best in local event coverage to effective commercial advertising, BDMA combines motion graphics, animation, professional scriptwriting, visual effects, and music to produce high-end results with dazzling potential.
BDMA has worked with some of the best talent in the field and some of the most creative minds in the business. We've been behind the scenes of dozens of local television programs from talk shows to children's shows, from programs that feature cooking to those centered around outdoor sports. We've produced political debates, industrial safety videos, business promotions, coverage of school and other local events, pageants, talent shows, fundraisers, variety programming, musical performances, and more. Always, our focus is on providing quality comparable to anything found on television or the web. Anything.
The Wizard Behind the Curtain
My name is Steven Carlton, and I am a 2010 graduate of York Technical College (Rock Hill, SC) and hold an Applied Science Diploma majoring in Teleproduction Technology. As well as being a published novelist, I am the owner and operator of Black Dove Media Arts. I've worked on a wide range of television programs in various capacities including Technical Director, Chief Editor, Writer, Visual Effects Supervisor, Director of Video Production, Sound Editor, and Director.
I live in Chester, South Carolina, with my beautiful wife of 33 years, Anita. Together we've raised six children and are the grandparents of six. Mostly, I consider myself a writer over anything else. I write at least an hour or more every day, except on days when I’m just too darn busy with my family. Check out my website to learn more about my writing, or check the Books & Publication section here. When I'm not writing or behind the camera, I’m usually tripping over the family dog, eating far too much chocolate, and thinking seriously about getting organized. Anita wishes for that, too.
